He flipped her mind over and over again

like a fried egg being heated mercilessly

until the edges curled back, and she broke apart.

Sections could no longer be pieced back together.

A scrambled puzzle lay waiting to be deciphered.

She became ignorant of her own needs.

She judged herself harshly for letting this happen.

Her shell had been cracked and could not be reversed.

She became his meal, and he feasted on her.

She was no longer his piece de resistance.

He had consumed all of her, body and mind.

Used up, she was.  He soon spat her out.

A lesson learned is a reward obtained.

Do not stray too close to the fire, or you might get burned.

Even Humpty had a great fall.
