He’s Gone

He’s gone.

He’s gone.

He’s gone

for good,

and he’ll

never be

back again.

He’s gone.

He’s gone.

He destroyed

my mind,

my heart,

and my faith

in men.

It wasn’t

the flood

that drown

him out,

nor my

nor my fear

of heights,

nor my babbling

tongue that tried

to explain

just like at

Babylon’s site.

It seems

to me

that there

comes a time

when the box

is no

longer square.

And given

a choice,

and only

one choice,

cannot be

as fair.
